My father, Sam Bograd, and his brother Dave opened the doors of their brand new furniture store on August 1, 1930 at the depth of the Great Depression. Not surprisingly, more than a few people thought that the Bograd Brothers wouldn't be around for very long. They couldn't have been more wrong.
Today, some seven decades and three generations of service later, not only is Bograd's still going strong, it is widely recognized as one of the nation's great fine furniture stores - offering hands-on family management, friendly and knowledgeable service, the best manufacturers and the widest selection available.
Bograd's is proud to continue to serve in some cases second- and third-generations of our loyal customers, and just as proud to encourage newcomers to the world of Bograd's. Put in this perspective, looking back at a rich past is not so different from looking forward to a bright future.
